ok, so i have 2 outdoor rabbits that live in a hutch, (I let them out during the day and put them in it at night) and its starting to get kinda cold outside, winter is comming... and Im worried they will get to cold or get sick. Can someone give me a few ways to keep them warm and cozy during the colder seasons?
and please if your going to go on about, "KEEPING THEM OUTDOORS IS AWEFUL" and crap like that PLEASE DONT EVEN BOTHER POSTING AND ANSWER!

Does the hutch have anesting box in it??? [[and inclosed 4 walled "room" with a whole they can come and go]] if not, i wouldnt let them out in the winter, and i would fill there hutch with LOTS of hay. If they do have a nesting box in the hutch, put A LOT of hay in that also so they can come and go as they please when they get cold outside.

give them blankets and maybe some sort of insulation in their hutch. either that, or keep them in the garage

Bring them indoors. Hutch rabbits have sad lives in the winter. Yes, they can get sick. Rabbits hide underground to keep warm, not in raised cages where wind can blow in and there's little to no insulation. It's like saying that your house is warm enough, even if you have no clothes and it's freezing outside, because you have wooden walls! :(

A heater sounds great in theory, but dry heat isn't good for a small animal's respiratory system.

Also, hutch rabbits tend to get downright nasty, and winter is usually when it happens because everyone stops going outside and handling/socializing them.
