I've got a water feature that can be left assembled outside through the frosts, etc. It has an electric pump (45W).
I'm after some kind of temperature sensor that I can install onto its power cable - outdoors - so that if the temperature drops towards freezing, say 3 degrees, then power will be cut to the pump (in case the pump tries to pump through a frozen pipe and is damaged as a result). This would allow me to leave it running to operate at suitable temperatures all year.
Does anyone know of any such product? I think I would need something so I could set the cut-off temperature reasonably accurately.
It would need to be located outside (mounted to my fence), with a suitable IP rating to be installed on the live pump cable without risk of water ingress.
Please send contact details / web link (UK only).
Thanks
