Outdoor Cats in my backyard?

hi there is a wild cat that has a kitten underneath my pool deck. the mother cat comes every now and then but the kitten stays there. the kitten wont come to me and im scared to go near it bc i dont wanna get attacked. how should i get the cat to move or come to me?
