Out the Door Price on the 2009 Kawasaki Ninja 250?

Hi, Does anyone know a good out the door price for this bike in Southern California. I have have been quoted $6000 and I almost laughed in the guy's face. I know this is way too high seeing that gas prices have gone down considerably.I got a quote for one in September for $4900. Any recent info would be nice. Thank you
 
If you are willing to get a new '08 they are selling for $3,499 plus tax and license in So Cal. The '09s are going for $4,999 plus tax and license.

If the dealer is charging $6k out the door, he is getting an amazing mark-up on the price.

but the quote in september seems to be decent..lower is always better!!!
 
Kawasaki's listed MSRP is $3999-4099. I wouldn't pay any more than that. It's a very popular bike with newer riders, so maybe dealers in your area are trying to make some easy profit. Here in Wisconsin they are $3999, but its winter and we have a foot of snow.

Out the door price is $500.00 fee for make ready to built it, Plus Tax, plus title & licensing fees in California.
Figure the tax at 8.25 % of the total price, and $50.00 for registration fee.

+ 500.00
+ 50.00
+ 497.00

Total $5146.00

Offer them this price and I just bet they will take it.
