problem, know what it is? When turning the car on a curve the turning is not tight, you have to turn it harder or more to get the car to turn, it feels like it kind of floats into a turn. the steering fluid is fine. what's wrong please.
 
Check the tires. Are they fully inflated? Do they have decent tread? Are the lugnuts tight?

Have a competent mechanic check the steering mechanism and front suspension. You may have excessive wear there. That's not uncommon on a 12 year old car.
 
sounds like the steering gearbox is going bad, I would get checked out by a mechanic ASAP...not being able to steer is not a good thing
