OT to all you haters

if one has determined that there is no afterlife, and is close to death, if
they have conducted themseleves poorly i would think they might regret not
being able to correct wrongs, before their permanent sleep, the person who
had conducted themselves honorably would have no hesitation but could go to
eternal rest comfortabley with no resistance... perhaps i am putting my
knowledge that time is short onto those who do not beleive... but then
honerable/ethical behavior has no bearing on religious beleives/professions,
as i know many supposed beleivers who behave in hidious manners, Lee

In my experience most non- believers don't say much or anything unless

there's no reason to spout off.

Maybe where you are, but an almost indiscernible line in the fold underneath
in the civilized world. I admit I didn't have that reaction when I saw that
photo, but I certainly didn't think with your damaged mind either.

Racism is just as much a choice... what happened to the last leader of
a country who believed racism is genetic, now they wear pointy pillow
cases, maybe genetics does play a part, six toes and all. On the
other hand every time I hear the MF word from a black thug I visualize
him pokin' his momma and/or his daughter... probably genetic.. ya know
back in their home country it was very common for the matriachs and
patriachs to break in their young'ns, I've no doubt the ritual
continues.

However, in my experience on rfc and other groups, NOT knowing
anything about someone is often just as much a cause of
misunderstandings as knowing. When posters take a dislike to
someone and suppute scenarios about their lives as though they
could read them like a book, they are often talking about
themselves and their own shortcomings.

Then there are the hypersensitive (and you know who you are) who go
off half-cocked with wild accusations when someone for example (no
names please) mentions they have not eaten deep dish pizza before
or any other such triviality they seem to think is a deep offense
to them. The only thing you can do is to laugh and consign them to
the bozo bin in perpetuity.

The Bible! Because all the works of science cannot equal the
wisdom of cattle-sacrificing primitives who thought every
animal species in the world lived within walking distance of
Noah's house.

My parents are older too. My mom always thinks that we make a ton of money
until I point out what our monthly house payment is. Their house was paid
off many years ago but our mortgage is almost 10 times what theirs was. My
mom always looks shocked like it was the first time I ever said it and then
asks me why it is so much? To which I reply something like... Because
that's how much houses cost these days!

I know that boredom is a big problem for some retirees. I have been
retired for close to 7 years and up until last November I managed to
keep myself busy enough that I rarely watched day time television.

My routine was to get up, have breakfast, go online for email, a couple
news groups and some online crosswords and other word games. I was
usually out of the house by 11 am, either out for a bicycle ride or over
to the gym. A couple years ago I started volunteering with a therapeutic
riding organization and was spending 3-4 hours a night three nights a
week doing that.

Then in November I had a rude surprise, emergency open heart surgery,
which really knocked me on my ass. I am still recovering from that, but
getting better every day. I am walking about 3 miles a day or bicycling.
Sitting around watching television was sooooo boring but for a couple
months I just didn't have the strength to do much else.

I m quite sure that they realize that tattoos are permanent. I just
