I'm posting this here because of the continuing saga that some of you have been following.
I've decided to go back to a single converged device and that will be a Treo 650.
Reasons:
1. The new screen looks great.
2. Converged device - I've been carrying around both the T3 and the Treo 600 for about 6 weeks and it's just a pain.
3. Enhanced PIM applications are on the 650 ala the T3.
4. No Wifi - but I got to thinking about the amount of time that I'd use wifi around the house and I've got a new laptop coming in Jan that will have it but if I really am going to surf the net from my Treo in my home....I'm stupid. I've got a 19inch flat panel and the laptop and what am I going to see on any PDA screen while surfing....not much. I'll use the 650 for checking sports scores and that while out and about.
5. MS Exchange Mail push....corporately this will be a boom and this 650 would be the best way to handle it on a single device.
6. BT - I want a wireless headset and can use it for hotsync if I so choose...probably won't.
There is no "perfect" device at this time for me. The perfect device would be a Cobalt 320 X 480 with BT and Wifi and VG and no keyboard but thanks to TealScript and assuming it will work eventually with the 650 if it doesn't right out of the box....the 650 is as close to perfection that I can get to at the moment.
Your mileage may vary but for me...it's going to be the way to go.
