Wrong. Dogs have owners. Cats have staff.

(laugh) That is so clever, cracks me up.

I'm all for opinions if they're the right ones, but when someone's
hurt is a good time to just think it.

Yeah, it is kinda hokey... but the one thing I want to believe is that

At least you have other cats. I greatly miss
not having cats. And I still miss one cat in

She had so much personality.

I'm reminded of a story I heard many years ago. A famous anthropologist
was studying in the deepest heart of Africa, and talking to a witch
doctor. The witch doctor was explaining about a stairway to Heaven. On
each step was an animal. There were all different animals, small and
large. The anthropologist asked the witch doctor how big the stairs
were. The witch doctor looked at him strangely, and held out his hands
vaguely. The famous anthropologist exclaimed, "Aha! Gotcha! Some of
those big animals wouldn't fit on stairs that size!". The witch doctor
looked at him disparagingly, and said, "Here you are a famous
anthropologist. You have all these fancy degrees. You have traveled
the world and learned many things. But you've never heard of
symbolism?".

But I'm sure a "freakin' grownup" has no need for symbolism, and has no
problem with making fun of others.

Sure. I'm just saying killfiling can lead to some amusing/irritating
outcomes if people are not careful. A typical sequence is:

Person A asks objective question.
Person B provides objective, accurate answer.
Person C provides a second objective, accurate answer.
Persons D, E, F provide inaccurate answers or tangential remarks.
Person A comes back to the thread and says "Nobody here could answer my
question! Why is that?"

The issue being person A's killfile has prevented them from reading
the thread. It's not a big deal, but when it happens a lot, it
contributes to a general decline of the discussion quality.

It can be entertaining to a degree. I recently posted to someone about
her annoying habit of complaining to every obnoxious message another
user was posting. I had already kill filed the culprit because I was so
unimpressed with his posts, but then I get to see his crap included in
her posts. Fercrissakes.... if you don't like what someone else is
posting, ignore it. If you can't ignore it... killfile. But don't
respond to every post to whine about its content. She joined the file
and I killed to bird brains with one stone.

Early yesterday morning we had to have our eldest cat, Millie, put to
sleep. She was 19 years old and had been suffering with kidney failure
for over a year. Millie was David's cat, but loved graetly by both of
us and our other four kitties. She is alrady deeply missed.

Sorry for you, Wayne......Cat's (and all pets) become part of our families,
and their loss can be quite devastating to us....

We (my family) have had many cats over the years, but also, they live for a
much shorter a time than us humans....

19 years though is a mighty good age for a cat to live to, Wayne........I
have had to put down at least 2 of my beloved cats for kidney failure over
the years...but both had reasonably long cat lives...

My son Timothy (28), who lives with me still (unmarried as yet) lost his 3
year old 'Oriental' when it wandered over the road and was hit and
killed....He searched for her for days, putting up signs all around the
surrounding street's, and a neighbour opposite found her in her garden,
dead, and obviously had been hit by a car, and placed there by the person
who hit her!......That was about 4 months ago now.....He has just purchased
a Seal Point Siamese kitten 2 weeks ago, and is overjoyed with her
(Bella)....We have always had Pure Seal Points cats in the past, except for
the Oriental!

Anyway, Wayne, my condolences to you, and ignore the rude comment made to
you by 'Bryan'...very uncalled for!

28 and still sponging... a total loser... he's retarded, right?

Are you bragging or complaining?

If the new kitten is put out won't be too long it gets squished on the
road too. Best of all possibilities is your POS loser son gets
squished by a truck. Please let us know of his passing so I can send
you my condolenses! Ahahahahahahahahahaha. . . .
