I don't mind having them around, I never see them. Once in a
while I'd see them when I had a dog. Hilarous to see them frozen
on the fence. We know you're not dead there! Puzzled Rascal to
no end that it wouldn't run away from her barking. Shut her up.


That's not happening. Not even with an opossum.

I've never seen a red tail or coopers, the most common hawks around here,
big enough to carry off any cat I ever had, unless we're talking kittens. I
did see one pick off a little bunny right at the edge of my patio last
summer though, and they strafe the bird feeder regularly, occasionally
picking off a mourning dove. But as far as other critters I don't see
raccoons but I see possums every so often on my porch at night.

Once while eating my breakfast on my back deck, a red tail hawk grabbed a
mid size rabbit and carried it sky high and dropped it. The rabbit fell on
my septic field bounced a couple of times. The hawk came down and started

What is odd, the hawks never once bothered my little ten pound yorkie. The
have flown over him but has never tried to scoop up or hurt the little dog.
Hawks here may want a sure thing.

I do not see raccoons often also. However they always get my corn on the
outer edges. I can tell it was raccoons by the damage done.
