I have been going to an osteopath for 2 yrs for m.e treatment and 12 months ago my spine started hurting. My osteopath cant feel anything wrong and keeps saying its muscular but he cracks my spine and the pain doesnt go away. I also have pains in my head.
Would my osteopath be able to feel if there was anything serious going on?

I would go to a specialist and stay away from adjustments until you find out what's going on. Go to an orthopedic surgeon or neurosurgeon. They don't automatically suggest surgery. That's a last resort. Surgeons do treatments other than surgery, too.

Adjustments could do permanent damage under some circumstances. I'm sure an osteopath would know that, but maybe he's not taking your pain seriously. You really need to get to the bottom of it and find out what's causing the pain, not just treat it. Have you had CT scans or MRI's?

I had an mri but only of my cervical spine.
Because i have m.e as well and i have had many tests over the years they dont take any new symptoms seriously.
My osteopath thinks its all linked to tmj because i have ear ache and temple headaches.

Wow, that's rough to have that on top of back issues! And it really stinks that doctors would write off your back pain just because you have chronic fatigue! I'm so sorry! I hope you find someone who can help you!
