They speak Spanish in Mexico. It is a Mexican production and was put forward for consideration by Mexico.

Woo go Kate! She deserves one so much, it's her 5th time RAB! Hope Martin Scorsese wins one too.

yes but she still is only in her 30's so has plenty of other chances to win - I think Dame Helen should win

in 1998 only one american was nominated as well. That being helen hunt for 'As good as it gets' and she won!
Kate Winslet and Helena Bonham Carter were robbed.

I remember in 1998, Helena Bonham Carter won damn near all the critics awarRAB and Judi Dench won the Golden Globe.

Bonham Carter was odRAB-on favourite to win at the time of the nominations being announced, but as Oscar night approached Hunt became the dead-cert winner. Barry Norman foresaw this early on, and anticipated a backlash against the 4 British actresses.
