Oscars: Foxx or DiCaprio? Scorsese or Eastwood? The Aviator or MDB?

Pick your favourites to win the Oscars!

I would love to see DiCaprio win best actor, but unfortunately it'll go to Jamie Foxx. I would love to see The Aviator win best picture, and I *think* it will.

As for best director... well, it HAS TO BE Scorsese. Surely. If Clint Eastwood win sthen the academy's credibility is over. And Scorsese deserves it sooo much... He didn't win for Taxi Driver, Raging Bull, Goodfellas... Come on Marty! You can do it! lol :D

Pick your favourites to win the Oscars!

Leo will not win Jamie Foxx will win best actor, but Leo derserves it :p

I bet for sure 99.9%

The Aviator will win best picture

Best director Scorsese since he derserved it times before

Mar adentro will win best foriegn film

The rest I am not sure

Aviator ought to get Best Picture and Best Director.

Jamie Foxx will gest Best Actor.

Is Hilary Swank up for Best Actress? If so, I think she'll get it.

I think Martin Scorsese will win Best Director.....but I wouldn't be too sure about "The Aviator" for Best Picture, although it will prob sneak it like "A Beautiful Mind" did a few years back.

Foxx and Swank should walk their categories, it would be nice to see Morgan Freeman finally win one too, for Best Supporting Actor.

if clint wins it (and he should) it'll be for MDB being a great film. if scorcese wins it it's because he hasn't won so many times.

MDB is the superior film to be honest.

jamie foxx will walk it, and quite deservedly so

My hopes:

Scorsese for director.
The Aviator for picture.
Leo DiCaprio for actor.
Cate Blanchett for supporting actress.
Kate Winslet for actress.
Clive Owen (or Alan Alda) for supporting actor.

Yeah, I'm a huge Aviator fan. :D

Very funny.

Seems hype can really do something for a film, just like a big name director can. MDB is a decent film. Raging Bull is legendary.

Scorcese has to win Best Director, as he was, but the best film around was Ray. Jamie Foxx should win both Best and Best supporting actor as, again he was, but I think the bigger name will win the main award for Di Caprio. Best actress is easy, Kate Winslett. Cate Blanchett for supporting actress, and that's about it in here.

i think it would be great to see leo get it after the snub he got for 'titanic'.

'titanic' after all was nominated for everything else, and pretty much considered pretty good by all accounts (whether or not you agree), but to not nominate leo too was criminal - it was considered that good a film, but none of that was down to the film's lead? pah.

(and for 'whats eating gilbert grape', which is a gem of a movie. in fact, didn't he get a nomination for that?)

perhaps, but kate was nominated, and it was also nominated for best film. i just thought at the time that a big part of what carried the film was the two leaRAB, and so to nominate verything bar one of the two leaRAB seemed a bit odd. i wouldn't have expected him to win it tho'.

The Aviator was an excellent film. The whole production was superior, it should also win Best Cinematography category. I'm not a Leo fan at all but on this film he was brilliant.

Martin Scorcese - Best Director ( not only did he make this film one of his best works by far but the award is way long overdue)

Leonardo di Caprio - Best Actor

.....the rest I don't care really.

Good God this is a joke right? They are not comparable.

MDB is a good film (though not better than the great Aviator), but Raging Bull is one of the greatest films of all time. In the top twenty, easily.
