First animated feature film to get the nod since [strike]Beauty and the Beast all those years ago[/strike] Up last year.

Of course the field is much wider, with 10 pictures up for nomination, so its chances of winning are probably slim at best, but congratulations to it for getting the nod. The full list of nominees are

Can't say that I'm surprised with 10 nominations. As much as I'd love to see Toy Story 3 win it, that would never happen. It's an honor to be nominated though.
 
Seconded. It has been hailed as one of the most reviewed films of the year but receiving the title of the Best Animated Feature of All Time was a BIG honor that was unexpected until reading about it late in the summer last year.
 
Not really surprised to see Toy Story 3 make it into Best Picture category, and I won't be surprised if it loses to something else. My money is on The Social Network anyway.
 
It's great to see that Toy Story 3 got a nomination. It was such an enjoyable movie and I think it deserves its spot in this category. Though, I agree that its chances of winning are pretty slim due to the other movies up for Best Picture. Still, it's great that it got the honor of a nomination, so getting the reward would be awesome, but just being in the category is great in itself.
 
It's great that expanding the amount of Best Picture nomination slots has gotten the Academy interested in nominating animated films again, and I can't think of a better pick this year than Toy Story 3. Hopefully in the future, other companies like Dreamworks will get a chance to be nominated if they prouduce something award-worthy.
 
Toy Story 3 being nominated for Best Picture pretty much means that it won Best Animated feature. I mean could you imagine it winning BP, but losing BAP to HTTYD?
