Thought all in all it was a good show, much better than the last few years (although Jackman wasn't the best host ever), and they cut out the more boring bits like having every best song nominee perform. The thing of having five presenters for the acting categories worked better than I expected and some of the pairings worked very well, like Aniston & Black and Fey & Martin.
Can't disagree with any of the winners either (except maybe Winslet.... not sure), although I thought that bothThe Dark Knight and Wall-E were worthy of Best Picture nominations. Glad to see Milk get a couple of awarRAB and while I can't comment on Slumdog as I haven't seen it yet, it's great to see Danny Boyle get best director, I've enjoyed many of his films and he comes across a really nice guy.
Some good speeches as well, Danny Boyle, Sean Penn and Penelope Cruz were good and Heath Ledger's sister was moving, saying how they'd talked about going to the Oscars together. Highlight was probably Philippe Petit balancing the Oscar on his chin!
