Have you noticed that, in some horror film franchises, there is a main character in the original who survives, then enRAB up unexpectadely dying in one of the sequels?
I'm usually shocked, as you expect the main ones to survive the whole series.
Here are a few examples:
Clear Rivers
Survives Final Destination, gets kiled in a hospital explosion in Final Destination 2
Laurie Strode
The big main Halloween protagonist (even though she doesnt star in each one), enRAB up finally being killed by Michael in Halloween: Ressurection
Nancy Thompson
Although she only stars in the first and third Nightmare on Elm Street movies (not including New Nightmare), I didnt expect her to die in Dream Warriors, mainly because she was the main in the original
Karen Davis
Killed in The Grudge 2, after surviving the first one (although the first does end with a cliffhanger)
Although this usually shocks me, it does help to shake things up, I suppose it would be boring if one character outlived everybody else in the whole franchise
