for films that became hits.

Apparantly Audrey Hepburn was a first choice, by Warner Bros to star in The Exorcist as Chris Macneil :eek:. She was too old school for a horror like that.

However Molly Ringwald was an initial choice to play Vivien in Pretty Woman, that probably would have suited her more than JR.

Any more?
 
I know it still has to be released, but apparently for "The Lovely Bones" Hugh Jackman was meant to be cast as the husband of Rachel Weisz where they would be reunited since "The Fountain" film, but he couldn't do it so they got Ryan Gosling instead, but he pulled out with a few days to go so they finally gave it to Mark Wahlberg.
