Ordered a 6290 today!

Can you make it a N75, N76, N95 and 6290 comparison picture? Thanks.

Also, can you please PM me the N95 vs N75 pic you had in the Cingy forum (I think)?

I've noticed that the back lighting on the 6290 gives a whiter (sp?) glow compared to the e65. The e65 almost looks green in comparison. I much prefer the 6290's back lighting.

Some more thoughts:

The protective flaps for the headset and ac adapter are kind of annoying. if you leave them open and try to flip open the phone, you can potentially scratch the front of the phone when trying to close them. In fact, you can't close them once you flip open the phone.

Despite some of the negatives I've mentioned, I really am glad that I bought this phone. I've been wanting a s60 flip phone for a while, and was tired of reading about the n75.

anyone want to buy an e65?

Pros:
- Solid build
- Excellent feel to the keypad. Keypad is soft and large buttons are easy to push.
- Screen is nice and bright. Adjusts for lighting conditions
- Even though the network is EDGE, still feels very fast. I am guessing the faster processor is letting the data transfer faster and the pages load faster.

Cons
- Some creaking in the keypad, but not really noticeable.
- Plastic front. I wish the entire phone was the rubber material used on the back. Similar to the 6131

That's all for now. Let me know if you have any other questions. I'll probably post a separate mini review with pictures.

Same here. Got tired of waiting for the N75. Actually, the whole return to Nokia was based on getting a S60 (great GUI) on a 3G network. Now I have given up and just went with the hottest possible device... N95. I will still miss the 3G capability, but the Nokia browser is just amazing. I figured the 5MP cam and GPS will more than make up for it. Besides, I have always been a candybar / slider person.

i'm really impressed by the EDGE speed for this device, even if it's not 3G. i've used a Samsung Sync before, but never watched videos or needed to stream anything else.

i've just need to sync contacts from mobical, calendar from goosync, check gmail, and surf the web every once in a while and EDGE is plenty fast.

So, if I take your last statement right, you like the 6290 better than the E65? I want a new phone and am interested in a flip with s60, ie the n75 or 6290. I will wait for Boston's comparison between the n75 and 6290 before I make a decision.

Call quality is excellent. No popping or distortion whatsoever. I had some of those issues with the 6131, but do not have any with this phone.

Had volume on medium for incoming calls and it was easy to hear everything. I didn't have to "search" for the listening sweet spot.
