Order of the Phoenix v.bestharrypottermovieyet

The movie sucked, I knew not to get my hopes up, but seriously, if you never read the book, you would have had to think the movie sucked even more, the way they cut things out caused so much jump in the story that it didnt even really make much sense.

Things I had major problems with:
1. Harry pulling out his wand on dudley in front of all dudley's friends (wouldnt even be an issue if they would have followed the book)
2. Several characters lines were changed, Bellatrix's line about having to mean the unforgivable curses spoken by Voldemort, Kingsley doing Phineas' line about Dumbledore having style, etc
3. Cutting out the whole St. Mungo's visit

I could keep going if anyone wants, but I know you well probably just tell me to gtfo so you can leghump the pile of shit so more.
 
going to see this movie high tomorrow, should be an incredible two hours

itll be a good refresher for the seventh book, i havent read five or six since early last year..
 
The movie made sense to me and I haven't read any book besides goblet of fire.

However, I know how horrific it is when a book you love is made into a movie.

That being said, this whole movie could have been a footnote in another book. Nothing really happened that advanced the plot of the books.
 
there were no DA galleons
they used levicorpus (doesn't appear until book 6)
no mention of ron, malfoy, and hermione being prefects
no fucking quidditch? ron made the fucking team in this one didn't he?
 
I thought no question it was the best done so far...my bf liked 4 better though. He's a non-reader of the books and I sadly don't think he got this one like he should have.
 
DA Gallons - probably would take too much time, but they kind of screwed themselves because in book 6 thats how they notify the rest of DA when the baddies come again

I dont understand why they would use it (it does first appear in 6 and its kind of a "fake" spell in a way) it seemed that levicorpus, expecto patronum, stupefy, expelliarmus, and reducto (said by ginny twice, which happened to be her only lines too) were the only spells - wtf

i think with the train/prefects they might have outdone themselves in book 1 and 3 because they spent a good chunk of time on there - though the change was them meeting luna on the carriges (but no mention of nevilles mimbulus mimbletonia)

ugh, quidditch would have been really overdoing it, if they added that we would have been there for at least another 45 minutes, if not an hour

i still agree with you though
