I think the Umbridge casting will be the weakest casting in the Harry Potter series, I always felt they cast Staunton for her flavour of the month instead of casting someone who screamed out Umbridge like Annette Badland or Patricia Routledge.
When I read OOTP I always pictured Dawn French as Umbridge in my head! I think she would have been able to pull it off. But I'm not knocking the casting of Imelda Staunton, cos I don't really know her work and can't comment!
I am so glad I'm not the only one who thinks that Annette Badland really deserved the role of umbridge. I think she has the capability to carry out both the looks and character of umbridge, but instead they chose Imelda staunton, who although a good actress, doesn't seem to look and act like I thought umbridge would
can I just say when it comes to the 'Half blood prince', I think Stephen Fry would make a fantastic Proffessor Slughorn. Oh and i agree about Annette Badland she'd have been fantastic as Dolores Umbridge, not sure about Imelda but I wait to be suprised
Damn I hate seeing pictures makes me want to see the film now, like with the new spiderman film and the pictures of venom. I'm impatient.
How old is Daniel Radcliffe now I find myself becoming more and more attracted to him each time a film comes out it's gone from the first 2 films thinking oh isn't he sweet to the latest thinking ooh isn't he aging well I feel like a perv he's at least 5 years younger than me..... back on topic Imelda staunton is a great actress and although she isn't what I pictured Umbridge to look like hopefully she acts more like her. There is normally at least one character in the films that I had imagined differently in the books.
He's 17, I'm five years older than him too but I'm not ashamed of the fact that I've noticed he's growing up rather nicely. He's looking good in this new pic too....
But, more importantly, is his acting ability up to taking on angry Harry?! I'm not sure but if he pulls it off I will adore him forever as this is my favourite book.
Isn't Slughorn supposed to be fat and bald with a beard? As Slughorn, I always pictured the guy who played Friar Tuck in Robin Hood Prince of Thieves! Michael McShane is his name I believe.
