Orange/White wire on new car stereo.?

I am replacing the stock radio on a 96 saturn with a new one from best buy. I bought the wiring harness and the the wires matched up one for one all the way to the end till I have an Orange/White coming from the car, not being used. and a blue/white coming from the radio not being used. Under this condition the CD player will work but the faceplate will not light up and is not usable. Whats wrong??
 
the orange /white is from your light dimmer circuit. check the stereo you bought and see if the blue/white is for the lighting circuit
