Hi,
I had a cold sore last week. It's been healed up for two days now, it's not sore or red or anything anymore, just a little discolored from the scar. My question is, I gave oral sex to my boyfriend tonight, but I got paranoid about my previous cold sore and made him wash his area with soap and water. Will the soap and water prevent anything, or does it not do anything? I'm worried that I might still be contagious, even though it's probably highly unlikely. Does washing it thoroughly help in the chance that I might still be contagious?
