In the last six months my cat has lost two incisors and is in the process of losing another. He doesn't seem to be in pain or discomfort while eating. I take good care his oral health with Greenies and an additive to his water to help with plaque and gingivitus. I have pet insurance but I'm still looking at a minimum of $300. for dental work any suggestions?

i havent heard of Greenies. is it a dry food? feeding cats wet food constantly is disastrous for their teeth. switch to dry food in the future but you will still need to get the dental done.

Get the dental work done. My cat had to get all of her teeth pulled. I wish I would of had her teeth cleaned in the past.

Because of the way cats eat, the only thing you can really do that is effective is brushing. How old is your cat? He needs to be put on a wet diet if he isn't and cut out the greenies they aren't doing him any good, and as a treat they are going to be too hard for him soon. Schedule a vet visit and also schedule a cleaning. The vet can show you how to clean his teeth while you are there so you can do it next time.
