Optional Media Update, Xbox 360?

I was searching for the optional media update on Live yesterday, and turned up empty handed. Where do you go for optional updates? Is it necessary to plug the iPod in while connected to Xbox Live?
 
Go to Addon Downloads. Browse all.

Its near the bottom of the list (I think its under Xbox Media Update).

You should be able to download this with out the Ipod plugged in.
