Opposite sex roommate?(college)?

We have a dorm that will be closed for renovations this fall on campus so they have had to combine the space that is left differently which means I have female roommate this Fall. I've had a class with the girl I'm rooming with and she's kind of cute but I really just want to keep it professional this semester and try to be as respectful of the situation as I can. What suggestions do you have for me? I'm nervous and I have no idea how you do this whole coed room thing.
 
Life is way too short man, seriously. Just let things develop however they will and don't do anything stupid like a one-night stand with your roommate. Also, f***buddies: no such thing.
 
Spend as much time focused on school work while she is around. Don't let her distract you. Be a roommate not a friend. The quicker you understand this the easier it will be for you. Warning: if you become her friend then most likely you will become more because close quarters will speed up the relationship.
