Opinions of a 2002 Mercury Sable GL?

I was looking at buying a 2002 Mercury Sable GL with 120,000 miles on it for my mother in law. The car looks very nice but I wanted to get some opinions of Sable's with over 100k. I get a little concerned about any economy cars with that many miles on them. Anybody familiar with the make/model?
