I have found a used 2008 Dodge Nitro at a local car lot that I am thinking about purchasing. My husband and I test drove it the other day and really liked it. The only thing we use our vehicles for is getting around every day and hauling kids back and forth....not a lot of power needed in a vehicle. I love the exterior and felt that it handled well on the road.
Just wanted to get an opinion from someone that has actually owned one. I have read dozens of reviews, but they all seem to talk about the poor gas mileage and the lack of off road capabilities(comparing it to other SUVs in the same price range). I am NOT taking this vehicle off the road and if anyone is looking for an SUV, they need to realize that it won't get outstanding gas mileage. I just need to know how it would be for everyday use and if it is a dependable vehicle.
