Opinions: Best Phone On Cricket. Branded Or Flashed

I'm looking forward to seeing the HTC touch in a couple months... that could be a very cool phone for anyone who likes Iphones...

I'd take a 6700/6800.

The 6700 is more stable and has been customized to it's fullest extent. It is a FANTASTIC phone.

The 6800 is faster, and a smaller form. However, it's got a few glitches, such as bluetooth volume issues and a memory leak which requires you to reboot your phone periodically.

I think i'd take a 6700 over the 6800 right now, all things considered. The primary reason why is that there's a $150ish difference in the price of the two. the 6800 is ultimately a better phone, but I don't think the upgrades are worth the additional price...

the 6700 and 6800 are the same phones with the exception of the 6800 being the newer, better features phone.

the 6700 has been out for longer, so it has more custom roms, and more bug fixes.

the 6800 is capable of fully flashing to cricket, just as the 6700. the 6800 is also a lot smaller than the 6700. i've had both, and the 6800 is way better :)

the enV is capable of being fully flashed. if you dont need 3rd party apps, the enV is the best phone you can use on cricket with a qwerty. i have mms and internet working on mine thanks to berry.

If I can get one cheap I'll buy one, but I'm not even gonna touch the sprint version... verizon is supposed to release it in january, so I'll wait till then.

I LOVE my EnV :clapping: :2thurabs: I was so against Qwerty phones because I hated text messaging, but since everyone texts me all the time I got tired of using T9 on a flip phone all the time. My EnV is fully functional on Cricket thanks to Jammis (aka Cricket Mafia). The EnV has a great camera, great menu system and a lot of little cool features.

I aslo use my CricKet Krazr *mod edit* I use that when I go out at night and also when I ride my motorcycle. I like the Krazr too because it is so small, slides right into my front pocket. I never know its there. Battery life could be better, but I am used to Motorola batteries after being a Nextel die-hard for 7 years.

I love Cricket service, couldn't be happier. Granted, I am a Cricket dealer, but I use Cricket service for my own personal cell phone. Never have any problems with it.

So far my Nokia 6165i has been exceptional. There has been some case damage around the hinge, but since I build models, and my solvents will weld teh plastic on the phone(must be some sort of styrene), the fix was rather easy. I could make it cosmetically better, but it's just me using it. In the future I may go ahead and take care of everything then take my airbrush to it and do a nice custom scheme on it if I keep it. I'd like to setup a razr. I have one here, I'm working on, but some say it won't work, I'm not 100% convinced yet, but getting there.

What is the best phone for rececption branded or flashed? I live down a hill and i have had a slider remix, koi, milan, very poor reception!always drop calls!!! My has had a moto v265, and now a nokia 6165i, and they have worked good. I have a samsung a650 and i like it.

I love my 6800. I just installed a clean WM5 ROM for it that I found on PPCGeeks, and the memory leak is gone, along with any lagginess from WM6. I highly recommend this ROM.
