Opinion on finger tattoo?

I am wanting to get a tattoo on the proximal phalanx of my right ring finger that says “carpe diem”. First of all, does that sound like a good idea, second, do you think that a tattoo artist could write that small, and if not, is there some symbol that represents “carpe diem” that could replace the writing?
