Opinion: Jake Long vs Juniper Lee

Well I guess in your opinion, but don't expect it to be a really popular one. (Since I don't know of anyone else who feels Jake Long Season 2 is better then BTAS, STAS, BB, JL, JLU etc) Anyway we're suppose to be discussing Juniper Lee vs Jake Long, so no need to bring any Batman or DCAU series into the mix to do that, okay?
As for the question itself, I prefer Juniper Lee over Jake Long. Although Jake Long actually had a continuity that was actually able to evolve over time and have plots and characters that grew (Juniper's continuity kind of for the most part got stuck in a rut. Even the changes they tried making in season 3 really didn't do much for the overall continuity sadly) it still had a lot more annoying factors to me then Juniper Lee. Yeah Ray Ray was annoying but I found more annoyance with the Jake cast (probably due to Jake's over ego about everything and always having to learn a lesson. Seriously American Dragon is like American Dad when it comes to how over annoyingly they try and have the main character learn something in every show and how little it sticks) then I did with the Juniper cast. Also Juniper had a lot smoother coregraphy and general animation then Jake Long and the jokes, even if they didn't hit had a higher air of... I guess sophistication then Jake Long tried for. So yeah I find Juniper Lee more enjoyable even though it still had flaws since it had less flaws then American Dragon.

I prefer the animation and story of Juniper Lee to Jake Long but, to be honest, I could not - for the life of me - STAND Jake Long for long (pun not intended).

I've now seen both shows and would love to get into a debate, but I am going with my sense of humour.
There are a few aspects of the the Jake Long story that are a little firmer. But the humour of TLaToJL os so much more my style, there really isn't a contest. Add that I like more of the Juniper Lee VA's there is no contest.

When I started this thread, it had been my assumption that TLaToJL's cancellation was onset by Disney becoming aware of the (coincidental) similarities to its own AD:JL and getting onto CN's case for supposedly "stealing" or "borrowing" their material.

That's what I like about Kim Possible. It wasn't all a big secret. I really want to see more teen hero base shows in which the hero doesn't have to keep their hero life a secret. 
I'm not exactly sure why Juniper Lee got cancelled. I don't think it was because of the show being too similar with Jake Long. In truth, it's usually the decision of the company the produces the show weither or not to cancelled it.
I had this theory on newer shows that get cancelled. I think it was one of those "2-3 seasons then You're Done" deals, in which some shows that don't get enough airtime, end up having 2-3 seasons before getting cancelled. But that's just one of my theories since I know some new show they get to have at least 4-6 seasons before ending. :sweat:

Bingo bango. I wanted to punt the brat off the Empire State or the Grand Canyon... and he'd probably be laughing his head off the whole time.
For the topic... Juniper by far. I tried to get into Jake, but "fo shizzle" talk > obnoxious little brothers on my annoyance scale. I did stick through it until the end, though I had my complaints on a few plots (like the reset buttons, especially with Auntie Roon's intro; and I'd have loved to see how Jody's discovering that June can at least do superhuman athletics would have played out). I also liked the art style and several of the characters. I've rambled at length in other threads at how much I liked the vanishingly rare moments of June, Jody and Ophelia interacting as group, so I will refrain from doing so again.
But, yeah, I miss Juniper too. And I'm rather surprised by the support for her; JL seems to be a very divisive show.
