Opera mini and nokia 6280

hi im having a problem with oprea mini. right when i open up opera mini and it says that i have to test my network connection, well when its done testing it tells me that i don't have a working network connection.. what do i do I've tried and searched but cant figure out what i have to do.... please help :sad: :sad: :sad: :sad:
 
Who is your service provider? Are you on your own network (not roaming) when this happens? Are all your other text and data services working correctly? The first time you opened Opera, did your phone ask you to allow network access to that program, and did you allow it? Your phone might need a software update, or you might just need to reinstall opera.
 
how do i know if my phone needs a software update and if it does were can i get it, and im using a nokia 6280 and no im not roaming and yes the internet works for me
 
First, I'd try reinstalling opera to see if it mysteriously begins working again. I'm not familiar with Nokia phones, but somewhere in the Setup menu should be an option for Software Update or something like that. The phone connects to your service provider and downloads updates that way. However, if the OTA (over the air) update fails, you would have to go to a store (Sprint Store, Verizon Store, Cingular Store, etc.) and have a tech look at it for you.
 
call ur service provider to activate ur line (sim)for GPRS (Internet not wap, coz we have three types of connection, wap, internet and Dial up). u cant use mini opera if you just use wap as access point, must be internet.
