opening a restaurant?

if you were opening a high-end specialty restaurant anywhere in the states were would you choose??
please consider demographics, traffic and pricing in your answer.

I would probably go with Reno, NV or San Diego, CA. Both have extremely good potential regarding traffic, & pricing. Both have wide demographics to pull from. If you can't make it in those two locals, it just isn't going to happen!
 
new york city.
las angeles.
miami.
anywhere near a big city or a ritzy community would probably be best.
if you choose a big city you will run in to the problem of traffic but that's really depending on where your at.
big cities and "fancy" communities are willing to pay more than people in smaller towns.
 
i have a restaraunt but i dont live in the states anymore, i live on an island. we bought it already at its location which was perfect because its located near the largest oil refinery in the world in which we get lots of workers worldwide who relocate here to work and enjoy our food, in addition to our local buyers, my husband and i also work there well i havent been back yet but he still does while i hold down the restaraunt we have been awarded best take out restaraunt in 2001 and 2005dont know about previous because we didnt own it then and we sell grilled foods from chicken to pork our famous seasoned rice and spicy fries, just purchased it from my brother also.


owning a restaraunt is not as easy as i thought especially with a newborn im usually very busy and im surprised i even have time to write this lol but the money is good and it has always been my dream. good luck if your planning and dont forget to do the mathematics when owning when because although money is coming in you still have to put out for rent electicity water, food etc.

need any more advice you can email me anytime before tuesday, thats when where opening up again, were closed for the week because its our parade that happens every year around this time
