Does anyone know about how much money it takes to start up a hookah lounge in California? I'd like to start one because the profit margin is high, and the atmosphere is very relaxed. Thanks
The costs to open a hookah lounge will vary depending on what you will offer, and how you want to set it up. Your best bet would be to offer hookah, snacks of some kind, and soft drinks coffee/tea and juice. You could also offer smoothies. Your main costs will be in securing a location suitable for a hookah lounge, the furnishings like couches, tables and chairs. The actual hookahs and supplies like flavored tobacco and char-coal are cheap. Also depending on the city you live in you may have to get some sort of license, especially if you sell snacks and drinks.
