Only one week left...

That's right. Only one more week left of my shitty job, then I'm on the hunt once again.:happysad:

Today at work, I realized something.

With the days getting shorter, I only see about an hour of daylight each day other than weekends. I start driving to work at 7:30, when it's still dark, get there at 8:00, when it's not quite dark, but not quite light, work in a dark, dank room until 4:30. It starts getting dark at about 4:20. I then drive home, get home at about 5.

I only get to see an hour of daylight because the lunch room at work has windows. The room I work in doesn't.

Life is grand. :happysad:

Maybe your next job should be outside? Any ideas what your going to do next? My job now has no windows and is 63 degress inside to keep the computer cold. This woundn't be so bad except that it 90 degress outside and I have to use the bathrom everytime I walk into work because of the temo change. But I do she the sun often so it's not that bad.

My job has no official title. It's one of those shitty jobs that doesn't require thinking.

And no, I have no idea what I'm going to do next. My plan is to run around town on Saturday and drop off resumes.:happysad:

One more thing... outside here at this time of year is fucking cold.

-20 degrees Celcius. Not sure what that is in degrees F, and I'm too lazy to do the conversion, or figure out the correct spelling of F.:happysad:

-20 c is -4 degress fahrenheit. That's pretty damn cold. Seeing is how i haven't even been in snow that might be a little culture shock for me. The coldest I have gotten was -1 c in Toranto for about 3 hours. By the way, whats the point of seeing the sun if your blood freezes while looking at it?

further to that remark saying take a job in the daylight..
in the movie 'office space' peter eventually leaves the office and gets a job doing demolition or construction or some such..
i'm already in construction but is that concept/scene inspiring to anyone?
i do work for lawyers primarily, i have lost track of how many times they have told me that they wish they could do my job.. drop their job and get outdoors and get healthy and do something less demanding and.. (there was this one time, at bandcamp..)
i agree, i could work in an office, i could do work much more mentally demanding.. but i get X dollars for mending people's houses and don't have a boss except the client and don't have to wear a smile or think too hard.. and i get to see the sun and exercise all day..

well, when i'm not sick.. :happysad:
i've only been well a week and i'mm scared i'll jinx it by talking about work on here..
