Was there a mistake in ep13 during the missing vowels round?

Famous football derbies
JV N TS NDTR N

The answer given and accepted was Juventus and Turin.
I assumed the correct name and answer would have been Torino.

I've never heard of Torino the football club referred to as Turin. It is the city where Juve and Torino are based and even though the city can be referred to as Turin or Torino it's not used in either football club's offical name.

Just wondered, the beautiful "tube lines as snooker balls" question has another possible answer, I think, based on the order of the colours of the spectrum (RYGBIV)...

1=Red
2=Yellow
3=Green
4=Blue (so, Picadilly or possibly Victoria Line could have been correct)

Was impressed by myself with this edition, got about twice as many as usual. Guessed Deja Vu would come up at least twice, and got Narnia even before it was shown!

Also liked the little dig Victoria had about BBC4 programmes.

Mr. B.
I just wanted to say how much I've been enjoing this series. I think you've done a terrific job setting the questions, challenging and yet so varied. Here's hoping it will get its chance on terrestrial TV - its worth it.

Excuse me? I know I have a filthy mind, but was that a very dryly played 2 Girls 1 Cup reference?

2 Jacks = 1 Jill.
My first thought was 2 Girls 1 Cup, then up pops 2 Jills = 1 Cup.
Thinking it through, and knowing nothing of the US system of volume measures, maybe thats why that particular internet "meme" is called what it is.

With the wall you should pick out the ones with limited and obvious meanings first.

The winning team picked up quickly on Nigella, being either a TV chief or a spice. (Well, I say that, but I didn't know it was a spice).

The losing team should have targeted Hat Trick first cos it's either a three in sport or a TV production company. Unless they thought it was something to do with Tommy Cooper.:rolleyes:

But surely the teams have watched the show before?
I think the point was more for throughout the series.

She looked good last night. Pity that she wore that black top under her dress. Not required imo ;)

Ms. Coren made a big play of a team getting a question right with just one clue last night. Am I going crazy or didn't another team get a question after just one clue a week or two ago?

I wondered then if it was the first time anyone had ever got a five pointer but no one on the show remarked on it so I figured it must have happened before.

Did I imagine that? Are they playing the episodes out in a different order than they were recorded?

Hi guys, I mentioned this earlier & I'm still wondering if you can use the spoiler facility to cover up any worRAB which give away the actual answers, as not everyone watches things straightaway? (Many posters do it when talking about other TV programmes on other threaRAB)

I think they have based this loosely on "Round Britain Quiz" which they have on Radio 4. Although I think they have stopped it. I have only managed one link in RBQ, which was the inscriptions on the side of the two pound coins.

I managed to work out the portcullis and the feathers as being on the coins.
