Only Connect (BBC4)

Vicky Coren is a pretty girl, but comes across as slightly snooty and forced I'm afraid... did she just make up the Sherlock Holmes joke? I didn't get it.
With the music question (Simon and Garfunkel, The Move), I thought the theme was going to be water (Flowers in the RAIN...) ah well.
Where was Bridge Over Troubled Water played first? The connection was "first" recorRAB played on media so where does BOTW fit in to that?

They did get their sweet cherry asses kicked in the missing vowels round though.
It does seem a slightly incongrous ending round in that the results can be dramtically turned around by something that isn't about finding connections, or something.

I also stumbled upon this game show by accident. At last an intelligent game show with a naturally good presenter, no loud music or over kill on flashy tacky lighting and big it up music. Just a quiet knowledge game show and very informative. It is worthy of a decent BBC 2 slot and time.
Fortunately for me it is also on the catch up service.

I agree with the previous posters that this is a good programme. There is nothing complicated about the format but there sure are some complicated questions!

I had one of my better nights last night but my performance can be variable.

Victoria does a good job as compere/host.

In the first question round, it may have been a reasonable set, but to untangle those from the others on the "megawall" was a bit cruel, I thought!

I wouldn't see me and my wife were 'clever' but we love playing along. Especially when we got a couple right last night, very competitive! We need a mobile version of the walls now! :)

Blimey, has this been on since Sept 2008? I happened across it last night by accident.

I quite liked it, although I have to say La Coren's attempts at humour are a bit half-baked, and it has a somewhat amateurish feel. Still, a refreshing change from the razzle dazzle of Millionaire, Deal Or No Deal etc.

I don't mind these basic format studio programs. There's no need for dramatic lighting or music.

I've enjoyed this current series. I also remember Mind Games and Never Mind The Fullstops.
