Only Connect (BBC4)

Last night's quarter-final made the preceding University Challenge seem easy-peasy, which it was in all honesty. Only Connect is going to break my brain by the final if it gets any more tricksy (and our evil Question-setter extraordinaire makes me fear the worst).

VC seems to be having a great time being the mistress of mean!

To do the "Tournament", you have to login and the login button has never worked for me. Click it and nowt happens. Is this what you mean by the 15 Walls?

But I've done the Play for Fun Walls as they were there earlier this year. There's 30 of those, and most (if not all) are repetitions of what's been on the show over the first two series.

Thinking about it, her father would have been ideal if he'd still been around. I wonder if that's why she got the job. Like father like daughter? Not, unfortunately.

No-one expects the Spanish Inquisition :D

Funnily enough I only know the sketch from the film Sliding Doors so although I recognised what the sequence was I had no idea of the fourth answer!

Another strong missing vowels round otherwise my only other was second --- on the wall.

The trouble with this game is when I know an answer (esepcially on the wall) I end up shouting at the TV as if the contestants will hear me

Well.

If I didn't feel completely inadequate earlier in the series (which I did!), I do now (in spades!).

Great line from La Coren about EdwardIIIs crown being pawned to pay for a war on France ("money well spent") :D

But how smug did the leader of the Crossworders look?

Nice having a Noel Coward round (as I knew them all), and Voodoo Chile making an appearance always earns bonus points from me (though the team calling it Purple Haze should have been docked points for overly smug misidentification).

Still easily the best tv quiz with the the hostess with the mostest, I'm glad to say I've seen every episode of OC.

And Presentable, the company that produced this quiz was the same one that produced all those late night poker shows. It's all about connections...
