Only Connect (BBC4)

My 16 y-o son got the link on the second clue (but he thought the answer would be "full toss") but I gave him 3 pts anyway!

BTW, have any of the assembled populus here watched "101 ways to leave a game show"? It's mostly crap but there is a way to "smarten it up". Watch it on a PVR and when they start reading out the answers, pause after each one and try to work out what the question is going to be! I think that's actually harder than some of the questions on OC!!!

I said the same thing to my husband on Monday night!

I got the penguin question right - although that was more tourettes shouting out "that one's a penguin" than actually making a deduction/intuitive leap :D

Perhaps they should just repeat it on BBC1 or 2 then all of us who watched it on 4 can seem like real smartypants when we watch it again with an unsuspecting relative!

Having thought I was clever for getting 10/10 on #5, I feel less clever now. It's a shame more people don't know about it - it's a fantastic programme!

I think she should have to remove something every time someone gets a five pointer, but that her state of undress carries forward throughout the series...

Another idea for the CIN special! :o

Wouldn't it depend on how many teams sign up? And they'd have to be competent. No point in getting a pub team in that very quickly realises that they are out of their league.

It was hard work, that last quarter-final. Could be easier to set the questions than answer them I think.

I did get all the PG Wodehouse characters though :D And Galahad Threepwood isn't an obscure character at all, for the record.

Those walls today were seriously hard!

I was a bit disappointed by the trophy presentation though, it was blocked from view by the credits and the camera panned so far away we could barely see what was happening.

Other than that it was a good final, and I'm looking forward to the champion of champions match.
