I was. I'd been inadvertently clicking on "Add to list". Now I know to click on the thumbnail of the cover, I do indeed get the "Pay Per Rent" option. It isn't offered on every title, which is a pity, but it will undoubtedly be very useful. Many thanks: it's exactly what I was after.
