Onkyo HT-S9100THX vs Yamaha-RX-V465+Mordaunt-short Carnival 6,5,3 and 9?

we are first time home theater buyers and i would just like to ask which of the two is better? I know that the S9100 is arguably the best HTIB out there but how will it par with our other option?

p.s. why is Mordaunt-short speakers hard to research about? is it a well-known company as well?
 
I had s9100, and i sold it why? cause the sub sux and the front and center speaker is weak. Step up get stand alone tower speaker, s9100 you need to invest in speaker stand which can be costly. also the default receiver is hot as oven.
