One more rat question for you guys tonight... One of my rats grooms the other rather aggressively to the point where the other rat often squeaks out rather loudly, like she's in pain. I know rats power-groom, but this seems a bit more than that.
The rat doing the grooming is definitely the dominant one in the cage, but they've mainly stopped tussling since they've been together for over a month. This aggressive grooming still happens, though, and I worry that she's hurting my other rat. The squeaks, like I said, are rather loud and painful sounding, more so than when I first got her and they were tussling at night. Then it was usually just soft squeaks, but now it seems more.
I don't think I've seen any blood, but sometimes I can't quite tell to be honest.
