One hour photo question?

I have a quick question about one hour photo. I am a decent photographer (I know exposure apertures distance rule of thirds etc. etc. etc.) and have a Canon Rebel. I want to start shooting some fall colors with my Rebel, and was wondering if I get a nice high quality or good color film would it be OK with one hour photo? Or would one hour photo ruin the colors and I would be better off with the week photo development? Thanks!

The previous poster is correct, it's the same chemicals. However in rare occasions you can find a dip and dunk service (I only know of one in the US myself and it's not all that common as far as I know). Again it's the same chemicals but there is less risk of scratching the back of the film (non-emulsion side).

The only other difference is the scanning/printing. I've had problems with non-standard films getting scanned at a drugstores 1-hour service. But the films still fine, and taking it to a different lab or scanning myself yielded fine results.

the chemicals to process your color film are going to be the same at a 1 hour lab as they will be if you sent them away. it also takes the same amount of time to process the film at a one hour lab as it does if you send the film out- the only difference is the shipping time. the major worry about a 1 hour lab is the question of rather the guy/girl behind the counter knows what they are doing.

if you are near any major city and you are worried about that, Just look in the phone book or on the interwebs and find a place that is actually a photo lab and not just a grocery store lab- they will take much better care of you than a grocery because processing film is their livelihood.
