Do you mean one film that everyone should see in their lifetime, or one film to see just before you die?

If the former, The Godfather. If the latter, Pearl Harbour. Three hours of that and I'd be praying for the lethal injection.
 
Good point; Got to admit, I preferred the happy ending of the , now withdrawn, original cinema release.
I've read that there are five or so versions of Blade Runner in existence, of varying degrees of legality.
I also preferred the cut version of the Wicker Man as the restored version gives the plot away much too soon. In the original it's a genuine shock.
