One egg omlettes, PICs

A good friend bought me a tiny little frypan, because when she saw it in the
shop she thought of me straight away, and the amount of food I can eat at one
time.

It's actually come in quite handy!!

It's a perfect size for a perfectly round single fried egg, and great for a
one egg omlette, which I cooked the SO the other day for brunch.

She had hers on toasted croissant, and I tried mine on just a couple of
slices of truss tomato.... which I won't be doing again :-/
Tomatos still don't 'agree' with me.

Seeing those croissants reminded me of the theme today on Food
Network: French Toast. The first show I saw used croissants sliced
in half. Not sure if I'll ever try it, but it was certainly worth
passing on. :)

Is that a nonstick pan? I got a couple of tiny cast iron frying
pans for eggs. How can I ensure that the egg will come right out
of the pan? The sides are straight, so one's ability to pry the
egg out would be quite limited. OTOH, if a lot of oil etc. is
required, one can't just flip the egg out.

Season them well and you'll need very little oil. To season, wipe
them with oil and do the stovetop method first to get the process
started; then wipe with oil and pop them into the oven every time you
turn it on. They'll get there eventually and it's worth the effort.

Yep..... and it works a treat!!

Just a smidge of butter, and the eggs/omlettes slip and slide right outta
there!!

So they're like little cast iron boxes??
