When you breathe, oxygen and carbon dioxide gas pass in and out of cells in your lungs. This does not cost the cell any energy. This movement is an example of ________________.

dynamic equilibrium

natural balance

active transport

passive transport

Definitely 100% positive that it's passive transport. Natural balance is not a scientific term for anything. It was just thrown in to trip you up.

Since it doesnt require any energy it is passive, not active

It cannot be dynamic equilibruim becuase there is always a concetration gradient of each side of the cells, to maintain diffusion of oxygen and carbon dioxide- the boyd purposely makes sure it doesnt reach equilbrium

natural balance has nothing to do with anything

therefore it is passive transport (Y)

:)
