On the same day my kitten came home, it began randomly gagging and trying to paw...

...at its face while it gagged? Once the gagging became more frequent (every 20 sec), I took the kitten to the ER vet thinking the kitten was choking. Upon examination and after an xray, the vet discovered that the kitten had a swollen tongue and red eyes as well. Since the xray showed the kitten did not have a foreign object in its throat, it was not choking but having an allergic reaction. (The kitten had been given a bath with a flea & tick shampoo prior to coming home.) He gave the kitten alot of shots for allergies and eye cream and sent me on my way. However, the kitten is still gagging (2-3 days later) and I feel helpless.... could this be anything else and can I do anything?
