That's what was wrong with my Nissan. Sounds like the same thing happening... but I am definately NOT a mechanic, so don't listen to me! All they told me was that the fuel injectors were "bad" ..... don't know if that means dirty, or broken! LOL...
IT IS THE OXYGEN SENSOR AND CAN BE FIXED FAIRLY CHEAP IF YOU HAVE THE TIME AND ENGINE MANUAL...OTHERWISE THE GARAGE WILL TAX YA. ITS A CRAPPY PROBLEM....
replace the fuel filter, any time a car stalls the first thing to do is replace the fuel filter, if that doesnt work try fuel cables, injectors, if all else fails see a mechanic.(it could be a computer problem)
