new fuel pump.? I have a 1993 Ford Tempo and gas isn't reaching the engine and I just changed the fuel pump, fuel filter, and changed the spark plugs. I disconnected the fuel line from the fuel filter to turn on the car and gas didn't come out then I disconnected the fuel line in between the fuel pump and fuel filter. Then I turned on the car and gas came out so then I blew out the other line which seemed to have a clog in it but I got it out. I then reconnected that line and left the fuel filter unattached and turned on the car again but gas still didn't come out. Is it possible that the new pump I got could be defective or an electrical short is preventing enough power from getting to the fuel pump causing it to not push gas with enough pressure to reach the engine?
