On my 1989 honda vtr 250. I need alittle help with the turn signals. anyone?

When I turn on my turn signal it takes a few seconds to blink then the right side blinks fast but only in the front and the back turn signal never comes on. Then everything on the left side works like it should but only after 7 or 8 seconds of holding the switch over. some times it never comes on. Help?
 
The fast blinking is an indication of a burnt out bulb. Start there and replace the bad lamp and see what happens. If the left side if still slow and all of the lamps are lighting, try changing out the relay that makes the lamps blink. Its up under the dash.
