On iMovie HD can you make a photo longer than 60 seconds?

I click my photo and click photo settings in my media bar. it says how long your photo is and it is adjustable I want mine to Be Exactly 2 min, 45 sec, 05 mil sec. It will only let me make it 60 seconds, how do i make it longer

PS: the reason i want it so long is so i can put it behind a blue screen
