i cant wait actually that's interesting if ur srs retrospective of poetry or my posting in general?



i dont mind pretension if its backed with merit but when it isn't it is a double fail. there have been pretentious successes in all mediums and that pretension can add spice but when its allied with failure the failure is just more distressing
 
Because it's shitty, irrelevant soap-box criticism coming from someone that didn't pick up on the themes that he was writing about.
 
That's a dangerous path as a writer, not caring about your audience. Most professional writers will tell you that focusing on who your audience is and how you're going to communicate with them is one of the first and most important pre-writing steps. But at the same time, you're right about not giving a fuck if they take it the wrong way, or misinterpret it, or anything like that, and ultimately (unless it's going to be graded in a class) you are writing for yourself. That's important for me at least.

Not your best here, but I enjoyed it. And it's made for a pretty lol worthy thread. ha
